摘要：Preparing quality publications from engineering research is one of the important steps in academic research and technology development, as it promotes the research results and helps transform the developed knowledge into application. In this talk, the speaker, who is an experienced engineering journal editor, reviewer, and author, will share how engineering papers are processed, how to prepare quality manuscripts, and how to avoid the most common loopholes in engineering paper preparation. The talk will benefit research students, post-doc researchers, engineers and junior faculty members by improving the quality of their prepared manuscripts and eventually getting the engineering paper published.
报告人简介： Prof. Mingwang Fu，傅铭旺教授，香港理工大学先进制造研究院副院长，机械工程学系先进制造讲席教授，SME、HKIE会员，英国皇家学会Wolfson客座院士。研究方向为成形制造、有限元建模与仿真、材料损伤/断裂/疲劳、以及先进材料加工。旨在探索学科的物理现象本质，推进领域认知，成功解决面临的挑战与瓶颈，开发先进制造工艺。发表期刊论文300余篇，6部专著，Elsevier《Encyclopedia of Materials》1卷。担Int. J. Plast.，Int. J. Mach. Tools Manuf，Int. J. Mech. Sci.，Mater. Des.，Int. J. Damage Mech.，Int. J. Adv. Manuf. Technol.，Adv.Manuf等国际著名期刊副主编或编委。
